Production of Monroll's lighting| What is lost wax processing?
Wax mold processing is a precision casting, which can produce thin-walled, complex shape, fine pattern, complicated process castings, as well as casting pieces that are difficult to cut, shape casting pieces, etc., the casting from dewaxing casting has good dimensional accuracy and surface luminance, small batch peak, and can save materials and labor time.
Dewaxing copper is the highest price in copper products due to the high requirements of manual technology, and every processed product is exquisitely carved and manufactured by hand. Sometimes why have the strength of manufacturers do not casually use dewaxed copper, the main reason is that the delivery time is relatively long, and the price is high. However, the three-dimensional texture of dewaxed copper and vivid modeling are the favorite effects of high-end luxury brands. It is mainly used in high-end and expensive lighting ornaments, which are mainly represented by high-end French all-copper lamps. American, candle lamps and new Chinese are all matched with some dewaxed copper accessories, which are mainly used in all-copper animals, figures and plants, and are matched with noble materials such as ceramics, glass and crystal.
Investment casting, also known as lost wax casting, is usually a method of obtaining castings by coating the surface of the wax mold with several layers of refractory materials, and then melting the wax mold to make a mold shell after hardening and drying. After roasting and pouring, the castings obtained have high dimensional accuracy and surface finish. Therefore, it is also known as the precision casting method of investment precision casting of bronze and other metal utensils. In ancient China, this processing has been used in bronze casting, and in modern precision casting, it is called investment precision casting. The principle of lost wax casting technology originated from the burning loss method, which was first seen in the middle and late Shang Dynasty. This technology gradually died out after the appearance of the no-norm losing wax method, and then the process gradually evolved and updated to the modern dewaxing process.
Zeng Hou Yi Zun dish was unearthed in the early Warring States Period tomb of Marquis Yi in Leigudun, Suizhou city in 1978. It is a wine container, and the dish is used as a water container. It IS CAST BY THE LOST WAX METHOD, an ANCIENT casting TECHNIQUE IN China. It is recognized as the best of the fine bronze wares of Shang and Zhou Dynasties, and also one of the nine "national treasure" cultural relics unearthed from the tomb of Marquis Yi of Zeng. In 2003, the State Administration of Cultural Heritage banned this "national treasure" from being exhibited abroad. Due to the complexity of the process, no one or unit has successfully copied it in more than 20 years since it was unearthed.
In ancient China, it was used to cast castings with complex shapes. The earliest known castings of lost wax in China are the late Spring and Autumn period copper cap parts and copper ban unearthed in Xichuan, Henan Province. After the Warring States Period, the application scope of wax loss method was gradually expanded. In addition to Ding and Yi, it was also used to cast seals, music bells, Buddha statues, shell storage vessels and ornaments in ethnic minority areas. In modern times, the lost wax method is still used to cast metal castings, called investment casting.
Each dewaxed copper product is made through 11 or more complex and rigorous processes, which include both traces of traditional handicrafts and modern techniques of precision casting.
The main materials used: wax, shell refractory materials (such as quartz sand, bauxite, etc.), binder (such as water glass, ethyl silicate, silica sol, etc.), hardener (such as ammonium chloride, etc.), coating.
Mold material - pressing wax mold - group mold - repair mold - coating - sand - demoulding - roasting - pouring - cooling - falling sand - cleaning.
